At datacenterHawk, we’re on a mission to help people make better decisions about data center real estate. We primarily do that through our online platform, where people can access data and insights to help guide their strategic or investment decisions. As a software developer, you’ll be responsible for improving and maintaining the platform to better help our clients move forward with speed and confidence. The Software Developer is responsible for providing functional and/or technical skills to solve problems for datacenterHawk and our clients. The position requires the ability to understand business requirements, design and build software, and test and implement solutions meeting project objectives. Our platforms are built with tools like Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, VUE.js and other exciting technologies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Groom business problems, provide technical feedback, understand the problems, and distill down solutions to implement
• Plan, architect, build and implement complete features with the team back-to-front — we are full-stack developers here!
• Work closely with other team members during sprint to achieve key objectives and deliverables
• Partner with other developers to improve code quality through writing unit tests and performing code reviews
• Be proactive in solving problems and comfortable in moving quickly

The Individual:

• Knowledge of Java, Spring framework, JPA / Hibernate, HTML / CSS / JavaScript
• Knowledge of Apache Web Server, Tomcat Application Server, SQL database
• Knowledge of front-end UI and responsive designs
• Experience with Scrum/Agile
• Experience in software design skills to produce scalable/extensible/reusable designs that are and meet architectural objectives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field of study
• Minimum two (2) years of hands-on experience with Java technologies
