Job Description: Our Accountant (Revenue Accounting & FP&A) will be responsible for the end-to-end revenue and accounts receivable (AR) function and supporting short- and long-term planning and reporting initiatives of Silverhawk Aviation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Perform financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording AR data.
• Assist in streamlining the AR process by identifying areas for sustained improvement.
• Reconcile the AR ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
• Generate financial statements and report on AR status.
• Prepare and distribute bills, invoices, and bank statements. Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues.
• Work with accounting to facilitate financial close and publish monthly financial packages for management.
• Manage and maintain a dynamic financial model of the Company’s operations and forecasts. Update the model monthly with actual results from closed financial statements. Analyze trends and variances, use data to back-test assumptions, suggest changes to forward-looking assumptions. Always be looking for ways to improve the form, function, and accuracy of the model.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions and identify solutions to business challenges.
• Manage the transfer of financial data from Company financial platforms to business intelligence platforms.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
• Demonstrable experience driving the AR process and revenue accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTable, VLOOKUP, SUMIFU. Demonstrable experience building and owning a complex company financial model that forecasts income statements, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.

Preferred Requirements:

• Broad-based finance and process improvement experience; the ideal candidate will have served in a variety of finance operations, finance transformation, process re-engineering, and/or related roles.
• Minimum 3 years of business experience.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
• Exceptional quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills.
