Silvergate is Hiring a Remote Testing Analyst

The Testing Analyst will report to the Software Testing Manger and will work closely with management from various operational teams to implement process improvement supporting approved strategic change initiatives. The Testing Analyst will collaborate with business team leads and leverage prior experience with testing activities in the financial services industry to drive continuous improvement in process efficiency related to business transition activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Understand the key types of testing i.e. User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, Functional Testing etc and the purpose and best practice for each
  • Communicate effectively with internal, remote teams to truly understand business requirements
  • Interpret functional and business requirements and transform them into actionable test plans and test cases
  • Collaborate with internal, remote teams to ensure test approach addresses requirements, timelines are feasible, and environments and associated accesses are available
  • Schedule and manage test cycles and publish clear progress & status reports
  • Where appropriate, execute manual test cases following best practice guidelines
  • Analyze bug and defect reports and partner with development team to remedy and plan retests
  • Co-ordinate sign-off for different types of testing being performed
  • In future, contribute to developing sophisticated and stable automated testing frameworks to increase efficiency, re-usability, and flexibility of product
  • In future, responsible for building automation test suites for end-to-end automation
  • Establish, adhere to, and continually improve upon company quality assurance standards
  • Maintain current knowledge of all federal and state laws and regulations, along with the Company’s policies and procedures
  • Not to harm consumers with any act that could be misleading, unfair, deceptive, or abusive in act or practice

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3 years' of experience in software testing / QA
  • 3 years' in financial services experience
  • Experience using testing specific tooling that include Automation (Selenium, Cucumber, Jenkins, GitHub) and API testing tools (TestComplete, Postman, Soap UI)
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge in both Agile and traditional (waterfall) project management principles
  • Scripting / Development is a plus

BANK SECRECY ACT 

Responsible for adhering to the reporting and recordkeeping requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering rules and regulations, observing economic sanctions by prohibiting transactions as specified by the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC), following the bank’s customer identification program (CIP) rules, observing all Bank policies and procedures relating to BSA, OFAC, CIP, and related acts, and participation in ongoing related training.
