Key Responsibilities:

• Project Cost Estimation: Conduct detailed project cost estimations, taking into account all facets of residential construction and remodeling, to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
• Material Procurement Expertise: Source and procure high-quality materials within budget and timeline constraints, optimizing for cost-efficiency without compromising on quality.
• Contract Negotiation: Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, leveraging strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and ensure project profitability.
• Inventory and Procurement Optimization: Monitor material inventory levels and refine procurement processes for maximum efficiency, ensuring timely availability of materials and cost-effectiveness.
• Market Insight: Stay informed of industry trends, material pricing, and emerging technologies to make informed decisions that align with project goals and budget constraints.

Qualifications:

• Experience & Background: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in residential construction, with a focus on cost estimation and procurement.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software. Experience with cloud-based construction management tools, particularly Buildertrend, will be advantageous.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Organizational Abilities: Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Construction Knowledge: Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry best practices.
