The Supply Chain Analyst has a critical role by overseeing all aspects of our supply chain management to ensure that plant operations are able to maximize productivity. In this role, you will manage and coordinate the purchase, shipment, and inventory of material and equipment across the company. Ensuring that we meet our internal client requirements regarding delivery and accuracy of RMAs & shipments, through inventory control, order fulfillment, and distribution. Additionally, you will also assist in the designing, developing, and reviewing of current supply chain data, systems, processes to help Silver Bay Seafoods achieve optimal planning, scheduling, forecasting and overall improvements.

A qualified candidate should have an extensive and proven knowledge of freight, inventory reduction, customer service, supply chain inefficiencies, distribution & shipping methods, bills of landing, invoices, inventory control, and other topics related to Supply Chain & Data Analysis.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the position include the following:

  • Contact, communicate, and negotiate with suppliers, retailers, internal business partners, and clients.
  • Prompt and proactive response to customer & client questions, and complaints via phone, email, and Logistic transactions in a WMS and P2P systems.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and refer clients to proper channels and processes.
  • Actively monitor the status and tracking of shipments, and promptly notify appropriate contacts of any shipment errors, delays, or cancellations.
  • Provide accurate reports, data, and analysis to upper management.
  • Complete job reports that include but not limited to bills & invoices, bills of landing, notices & orders, weekly reporting metrics, and others.
  • Organize warehousing for goods and products inbound to Silver Bay Seafoods.
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and efficient shipping & receiving plans, outbound schedules, and other shipping methods.
  • Perform all aspects of coordinating transportation & shipment/deliveries with carriers, clients, agents, and forwarding entities to ensure proper movement of outgoing & incoming shipments.
  • Lead, troubleshoot & resolve investigations to settle any company-receiving and customer-related shipping issues.
  • Review & supervise purchase orders for accuracy and ensure company needs are being met according to SLAs, etc.
  • Monitor & help advise Supply Chain Operations as business needs require.
  • Utilize Logistics Technology Software and Information to optimize procedures: LSPs (Logistics Service Providers), and WMS/P2P systems.
  • Perform tracking and analysis of shipments of final products according to customer requirements.
  • Monitor & Log records of facilities stock and executed orders.
  • Develop processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized.
  • Identify strategic opportunities, such as inventory reduction or supply chain inefficiencies, and determine the time and resources required to take advantage of these opportunities.
  • Actively assist with system implementation projects & operational support of company & departments core missions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management, or equivalent certifications.
  • 3-5 years experience in supply chain management or coordination.
  • A minimum 2 years in Logistics Management or similar experience.
  • Knowledge of/or ability to quickly grasp data analytics and software programs with a strong background in ERP, WMS, and supply chain management technology.
  • Advanced knowledge of freight, distribution, and shipping methods.
  • Ability to achieve profitable deals & mutual satisfaction from clients, agents, and retailers.
  • Previous experience with Alaska Seafood Industry or networks is a Huge Plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems.

Work Environment and Schedule

Position requires onsite presence in Seattle office and the ability to travel to meetings as needed. Occasional remote work may be allowed with approval from supervisor.

Physical Demands

While performing the essential function and job duties associated with the job, the employee is regularly required to sit, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
