Sila’s goal is to transform the financial landscape by creating an open-access financial network with a stable cryptocurrency at its core. We want to help developers and entrepreneurs bring their fintech ideas to market quicker and easier.

We are seeking an experienced User Interface & User Experience Designer to help us improve our user-facing systems. The ideal candidate will have experience consolidating user requirements into an eloquent design and be able to clearly articulate the need and functionality to the development team. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work closely with stakeholders, Product Manager, Front-end Engineers to bring products to life
• Perform stakeholder surveys, user research, landscape analysis, and usability studies and transform results into actionable insights
• Create and maintain interface inventory / style guide
• Produce low, medium, and high fidelity prototypes
• Signoff on Completed User Stories
• Create annotated design mocks for use by engineering.
• Create user flow documentation
• Help create testing / analytics scenarios to verify design assumptions.
• Assist marketing team with creation of artifacts, one pagers, updates to public sites, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Core Competencies

• At least 4 years of professional experience.
• Be able to translate business requirements into creative, secure and efficient user experiences
• Deep familiarity with common design conventions and emerging trends
• Ability to present concepts and explain reasoning behind design choices 
• Strong understanding of software design best practices

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in user interface design, graphic design, visual design, information architecture or computer science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 4 years working experience as a UI/UX Designer with a concentration in web app development 
• Experience establishing or creating a scalable design management workflow using off-the-shelf tools (Figma, Adobe Products)
• Experience working within a deeply collaborative environment

Preferred

• Comprehensive and detailed portfolio 
• Experience in designing and launching brand-new products
• Experience with product design analytics and testing
• Being able to code isn't a hard requirement, but deep familiarty with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript is a plus

In this role, you'll be eligible for:

• Expected base salary is $105K to $140K, depending on relevant experience
