Description

We have an immediate need for an Entry Level Financial/Management Analyst with professional, interpersonal and analytical skills, who enjoys working creatively with and actively contributing to his or her team, to support the Department of the Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC). NAVFAC is a worldwide organization providing facilities engineering, design, construction, consultation, test and evaluation, technology demonstration/implementation, public works, environmental, and acquisition for the Navy and Marine Corps, Department of Defense, and other federal agencies. The team directly supports NAVFAC on IT systems-related issues and will focus on financial systems implementations. The team will also provide recommendations on courses of action and potential resolution.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Professional experience and/or coursework in developing work products in Microsoft office suite to include Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, demonstrating an ability to work independently, maintain attention to detail; experience with Microsoft Project and/or Microsoft Access a plus.
• Professional experience and/or coursework that demonstrate the ability to present information verbally and contributing to discussions with team leads and/or higher-ranking members of an organization.
• 1-2 years of professional experience and/or coursework that presented the opportunity to work in teams, demonstrating interpersonal, team-building, critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• 1-3 years professional experience/coursework in technical and/or professional writing, portraying an ability to conduct background research, structure written work products, and clearly and succinctly articulate conclusions.
• Proven ability to actively identify ways to assist the team in adhering to deadlines and pre-defined goals and communicate status updates to team members regarding progress.
• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance

Geographic requirements:

• Candidate must be located in the National Capitol Region

Educational requirements Preferred:

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited United States college or university.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional experience and/or coursework in data analytics or data visualization tools to include: MS Excel, Tableau, Qlik, SQL, and/or creating macros.
• Professional experience and/or coursework in accounting and/or financial management.
• Professional experience working with DoD and Federal business systems related to accounting, accountability and financial reporting procedures with the DoD and Federal agencies.
• Experience working with DoD and Federal agencies in a financial management and/or accounting capacity.
• Experience with business process re-engineering/optimization to include: documenting current procedures, conducting gap analysis to identify inefficiencies, identifying key performance metrics.
