Sign Design, Inc. - Brockton, MA is Hiring a Field Manager Near Brockton, MA

Description

Job Overview - Oversees the successful on-site installation of sign projects. 

Reports to - Field Director

Work Location - On the Road

Position Type - Full-time – Salary (exempt) 

Ideal Candidate

  • Knowledge of technical aspects, administration, and management of all phases of project management
  • Knowledge of public safety and security issues and regulations
  • Superb oral and written communication skills
  • Superb detail-orientation and organization skills 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee planning, organization, scheduling and implementation of installation projects
  • Assist with expediting and preparing the job for successful, first-time installation
  • Meet with install team each morning prior to job leaving the shop
  • Coordinate with all on-site contractors and sub-contractors
  • Communicate daily and work cooperatively with installers, installation manager and project manager to ensure efficient installation
  • Track and maintain records of all jobs through internal production software
  • Communicate professionally with clients via phone and email
  • Provide timely communication and follow-ups
  • Attend weekly team, project kickoff, and post mortem meetings as requested
  • Present current and upcoming jobs in a weekly production meeting

Additional Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain safe and clean work area at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Required

  • Experience in a sales or project management environment (2 years)
  • Experience in construction environment (2 years)
  • Knowledge of technical aspects, administration, and management of all phases of project management
  • Knowledge of public safety and security issues and regulations
  • Superb oral and written communication skills
  • Superb detail-orientation and organization skills
  • General knowledge of sales and customer service practices and functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Reliability, flexibility and a professional attitude and appearance
  • Strong math skills (addition,multiplication, division, geometry, fractions, and decimals)
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage time and multiple priorities effectively
  • Ability to: troubleshoot problems and develop solutions; read, understand, and interpret work orders; follow written and oral instructions; correctly use and read a tape measure; multitask in a schedule-driven environment with the ability to maintain accuracy; take direction and willingness to learn; work off shift hours as needed; work as part of a team and unsupervised
  • High school or trade school diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • United States Work Authorization

Preferred

  • Sign industry experience
  • Post-Secondary Education, Certificate or Equivalent Experience in related field

  • May also be exposed to loud noises, dust, and fumes from the manufacturing plant.

Other Requirements

  • Candidates offered a position with Sign Design are required to undergo a Background Screening.
  • Candidates offered a position with physical requirements must pass a position-appropriate Fit for Duty exam which will be scheduled and paid for by Sign Design.
  • Candidates who operate equipment or vehicles may be subject to pre-employment and random drug screenings.
  • If not already obtained, employee must obtain OSHA 10 General Industry Card within 30 days of hire.
