Quality Engineer

SIGMADESIGN has collaborated with a global company seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their facility in Vancouver, Washington. This company is a global manufacturing company with more than 260,000 employees across 100 locations in 30 countries. This company makes products for some of the biggest brands in the world in every market from healthcare, packaging, smartphones and cloud equipment to automotive and home appliances.

Primary Function:

Represent the quality function of technical support, in conjunction with other internal support groups, regarding issues affecting manufacturing on global customer accounts. Serve as liaison between Jabil Circuit and customers on global quality related issues.

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain PFMEA’s and Control Plans in support of global new product introductions utilizing Advanced Product Quality Planning and Process Optimization.
• and develop work instructions for in process quality inspection stations
• Coordinate and track corrective/preventive action activities
• Facilitate robust root cause analysis
• Main point of contact for customer related product quality issues
• Lead Quality Improvements through use of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
• Assist in driving standardization and best practices with multi-site customer accounts.
• Utilize traceability software to track metric performance (RTY, FPY, DPMO, Yield Bridge actions)
• Present Quality performance data as part of internal and customer review meetings
• Conduct LPA and QMS audits in support of products and processes
• Coordinate Quality Technician support activities
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience: (Knowledge, skills, & abilities)

• Bachelor's degree required and five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Pass a post-offer background verification.
