Sierra Donor Services is Hiring a Senior Tissue Recovery Coordinator Near Nashville, TN

 

We are seeking a Senior Tissue Recovery Coordinator to join our team! This position will lead recovery efforts of donated cadaveric human tissue including bone, skin, corneas, blood vessels, nerves, and heart valves. The Senior Tissue Recovery Coordinator oversees the activities of the Tissue Team - ensuring the team follows all policies, procedures, and protocols are followed in a fast-paced environment. Travel and on-call duties will be required. This position is eligible for relocation assistance for candidates with prior Tissue Recovery experience!

 Below are some of the key accountabilities this position will hold:

  1. Coordinates the Tissue Recovery Procurement Process including logistics, communication with hospitals and funeral homes, packaging, and shipping.
  2. Acts as Supervisor On Call (SOC). Routinely interacts with call center, directs recovery technicians, and serves as a role model.
  3. Leads recovery team efforts of donated cadaveric human tissue including bone, skin, corneas, blood vessels, nerves, and heart valves.
  4. Serves as a resource and advisor to internal team members for completing recovery efforts. Ensures clear communication with leadership and peers. Acts as a skilled negotiator to streamline processes and reduce workplace disruption.
  5. Participates in the recovery and donor restoration as appropriate.
  6. Maintains compliance with regulatory accreditation agencies and internal quality processes.
  7. Other duties as assigned.
     

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  1. Thrives in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and maintaining an eye for detail.
  2. Remains presentable, professional, and focused in all business matters.
  3. Bachelor's degree preferred, CTBS/EBAA certification desired
  4. 2 years experience in Tissue Recovery.
  5. Valid driver's license with the ability to pass VMR underwriting requirements
