The Field Service Tech will diagnose and repair railcar movers (Shuttlewagons) along with competitive brands in an effort to provide excellent customer service. This position requires a self-motivated, assertive individual that is computer literate, and have excellent communication and customer relation skills. In addition, it is required that a person in this position have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record. DOT licensing may be required. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Analyze and diagnose (troubleshoot) equipment malfunctions or failures Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled or recommended Repair, replace, transmissions, final drives, steering, clutches, hydraulic components, electrical systems and air systems Determine correct parts, order and complete task in a timely manner, as well as, returning all unused parts in a timely manner Communicate with the customer and internal aftermarket team regarding all aspects of the work being performed KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Education High School Diploma or Equivalent Technical school and/or training preferred Experience 3-5 years of Mechanical Experience 2-3 years of field service experience Ability to service and repair heavy equipment. Ability to read and understand schematics and technical documentation.
