PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Licensed Mental Health Professional is responsible for providing assessment, treatment planning, and OTRs. The LMHP will also provide clinical supervision to unlicensed direct service staff when needed. The LMHP will assist in overseeing all clinical aspects critical to the agency’s daily operations.

The overall purpose is to provide quality service delivered with dignity and respect for the client and community. This service is aimed at improving the client’s overall mental health and generating increased community wellness. The LMHP will practice in an ethical manner, work with colleagues and clients with respect and will be subject to the supervision of his/her activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF LMHP

• Provide supervision utilizing evidenced-based techniques related to the practice of behavioral health counseling;
• Provide direct care to clients utilizing the core competencies of addiction counseling and/or mental health counseling and may serve as primary counselor to specified caseload;
• Serve as resource person for other professionals in their specific area;
• Provide on-site and direct professional supervision of any unlicensed professional or inexperienced professional when needed;
• Function as the client’s advocate in all treatment decisions affecting the client;
• Prepare and write notes or other documents related to recovery (e.g. assessment, progress notes, treatment plans, discharge, etc.).
• Conduct clinical reviews and chart audits when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Applicant must have a Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology;
• A minimum of (2) years combined work experience in a direct service capacity;
• Must have achieved, and maintain, state licensure status: LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologists;
• Applicant must have had clinical management experience and demonstrated leadership ability;
• Demonstrated ability in establishing and meeting priorities and goals.
• Must be LOCUS/CALOCUS certified

Salary: From $60,000.00 per year
