National Division

Shimmick’s National Division operates throughout the central and eastern U.S. Comprised of legacy companies, such as Morrison Knudsen, Washington Group, and others, this division has decades-long history of delivering successful transportation, transit, mining infrastructure, and water resources projects. In addition to state DOTs and transit agencies, the National Division has delivered more than $5 billion in work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, primarily in the water resources (dams, reservoirs, locks, levees) sector. The National Division is delivering Oklahoma Turnpike Authority’s first build-finance project, the $260 million Gilcrease Expressway project in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Under limited supervision, conducts work requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
• Is fully competent in most aspects of the job.
• Works on projects of substantial complexity.
• May assume lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support personnel.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Develops Client monthly invoices
• Experience in the following:
• • Managing the preparation of submittals and RFIs
  • Managing the monthly schedule updates in Primavera 6
  • Managing the project cost
  • Managing subcontracts and subcontractor invoicing
  • Developing and management of change orders to both the Client and subcontractors
  • Supervising Field Engineers

Preferred Qualifications:

• CQM (Quality Control Manangement) certification from the USACE, or ability to obtain
• PE certification in the State of Texas
• Experience in Primavera 6
• Experience in Prism G6
• Experience in Resident Management System (RMS)
• Experience in USACE projects
