Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Performs professional level accounting support, related to the most complex accounting tasks
- Able to perform accounting tasks within multiple ERP modules and collaborate closely with departments such as AP, AR, Payroll, Tax Compliance, GL and Project Accounting
- Responsible for journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting and able to present those reports to leadership with accuracy
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Assist the Accounting Manager with team support, onboarding/training and become a “Master User” in the ERP and any other applicable system such as CMiC
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask
- Close and record all bank accounts for monthly activity and perform bank reconciliations, including investigating and posting correcting entries as needed
- Review and accrue period costs in accordance with GAAP
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
- ERP and software system experience such as CMiC, Textura, Oracle, Vista Viewpoint, Kofax, FloQast, Avalara or similar systems
- Previous experience with ERP implementations
- Construction industry experience
- Federal contracting and compliance experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Hands-on, positive attitude, professional, results-driven, problem solver, accountable
Additional Information:
- Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

The salary range for this position is between $60,000 - 85,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.
Shimmick's comprehensive benefits plan includes medical, dental and vision coverage; as well as options to participate in an FSA or HSA.
