National Division

Shimmick’s National Division operates throughout the central and eastern U.S. Comprised of legacy companies, such as Morrison Knudsen, Washington Group, and others, this division has decades-long history of delivering successful transportation, transit, mining infrastructure, and water resources projects. In addition to state DOTs and transit agencies, the National Division has delivered more than $5 billion in work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, primarily in the water resources (dams, reservoirs, locks, levees) sector. The National Division is delivering Oklahoma Turnpike Authority’s first build-finance project, the $260 million Gilcrease Expressway project in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Works independently with little supervision. Working with the project manager, Shimmick project controller and other team members to ensure accounting tasks and policies are followed
• Provides all accounting tasks for the day to day operations of the project.
• Inputs craft payroll, audits certified payrolls both internally and subcontractors compliance
• Processes AP and ensures all required documentation is presented to pay.
• Completes all month end activities including Journal Entries, GL Reconciliations, WIP entries and profit recognition. Along with monthly reporting requirements.
• Follows internal controls and is familiar with GAAP accounting policies.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 8 years of related or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

• CMiC ERP experience
• Davis Bacon, Certified Payroll experience
• LCP Tracker software experience
