National Division

Shimmick’s National Division operates throughout the central and eastern U.S. Comprised of legacy companies, such as Morrison Knudsen, Washington Group, and others, this division has decades-long history of delivering successful transportation, transit, mining infrastructure, and water resources projects. In addition to state DOTs and transit agencies, the National Division has delivered more than $5 billion in work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, primarily in the water resources (dams, reservoirs, locks, levees) sector. The National Division is delivering Oklahoma Turnpike Authority’s first build-finance project, the $260 million Gilcrease Expressway project in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Directs and managers the entire project, guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between Shimmick and client interface.
• Accountable for all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Overall responsibility and management of project including but not limited to pre-construction budgeting/schedule stage, procurement, through contract closeout.
• Position has primary fiscal responsibility and key liaison between client for assigned project.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

• Heavy civil construction project experience
• Night time availability for work
• Concrete structures, MSE Walls, Rail, Transit, Wastewater
• Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong problem-solving skills and consistent attention to detail
