Job Description

As our Senior System Administrator, you will support and help architect Shield AI's enterprise architecture in our classified space.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing classified systems and networks to include system hardening and accreditation support. Experience with enterprise networking, virtualization, storage, building solutions to deploy in on-premises and in Azure Gov Cloud environments. The candidate should be comfortable working in highly secure and fast paced environments.

Projects that you'll work on

  • Initial scoping, installation, and configuration of infrastructure in a new classified facility.
  • Infra 2.0 - Architecture and Deployment of enterprise architecture and systems supporting Shield AI’s global enterprise. 
  • GPU Workload Virtualization - Architecting and deploying scalable virtualized servers to accelerate machine learning and AI projects supporting Shield AI’s engineering. 
  • IaaS Infrastructure Automation: Creating secure virtual systems and software defined networks to support on-demand compute needs for engineers and developers. 
The candidates we're looking for have the following required experience
  • Must have an Active Top Secret security clearance and be DoD 8570 certified (CompTIA Sec ) 
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
  • Active Directory experience 
  • Networking basics 
  • Deploying/configuring any software 
  • Configuring and deploying a SIEM 
  • Configuring and managing backups 
  • Configure, deploying and managing AV solution 
  • Hardening experience: STIGs SCAP. These are requirements for workstations and networking gear 
  • Experience implementing RMF controls 
  • Linux expertise 
  • Vulnerability remediation 
  • Patching 
  • Configuring/loading DoD cryptographic devices
  • Experience with Automation and Scripting (PowerShell, Ansible, Chef, Terraform, etc.) 
  • Containerization experience (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Experience with security best practices and ensuring multi-sHite compliance for infrastructure
Not required but would be helpful
  • Experience operating in a secure or classified environment 
  • Experience with Kubernetes on bare metal and VMware vSphere
  • Experience with tools like: Rancher, Vault, Packer, Tanzu, Telegraf, InfluxDB, etc.
  • Experience ensuring compliance and audit preparation evidence, as well as presenting with auditors 
  • Experience with Azure Commercial or Azure Gov cloud environments
  • Experience preparing technical project plans and creating budgets for highly technical projects
  • You have extensive experience with enterprise networking, building and designing highly redundant and scalable networks, site to site connectivity, SDWAN, VPN, etc. (Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco)
  • You have extensive experience with virtualization and high-availability, virtualized workloads, virtualized networking, DRS/HA, enterprise storage and fault tolerance (VMware vSphere, NSX, etc.)
  • You have a high level of experience with Microsoft Azure, M365 and on-prem Active Directory, Intune, GPOs and hybrid cloud environments
  • You have experience with Enterprise Monitoring (Wavefront, Datadog, Solarwinds, OpsGenie

Salary Range: $125,510 - $200,490 Annually Bonus Benefits Equity (if applicable)
