POSITION SUMMARY:

The Inventory Control Specialist will maintain inventory, data entry, ordering and suppling necessary items while maintaining records of all procurements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assists in maintaining an accurate record of inventory

• Assists in preventing and resolving inventory discrepancies

• Monitors purchasing process including shipments and follow-up of purchase orders committed

• Maintains close coordination with internal customers to ensure adequate material will be available while maintaining the best total cost

• Ensures delivery of material to assure timely completion to support internal customer needs

• Problem solves to obtain constant quality improvement

• Close Purchase Orders and maintain the Open Order Status Reports

• Input daily transactions, including reconciliation, weekly cycle counts, and inventory adjustments

• Reconciliation of all inventories, research in a timely manner

• Perform other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS (QUALIFICATIONS):

• High School diploma

• 2-3 years of related experience
• Basic understanding of inventory control procedures
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience in negotiating price and terms of purchase orders
• Excellent organizational skills
• JD Edwards experience a plus
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Construction experience a plus
