Supervises and administers all early childhood work conducted in the Early Advantage program of SGA
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervises and administers all early childhood work conducted in the Early Advantage program of SGA.
• Develops and maintains relationship with program partners and funders.
• Collaborates with personnel from relevant agencies/schools/churches/communities.
• Organizes and facilitates regular team meetings for program staff.
• Responsible for the hiring of staff and annual evaluation of staff performance.
• Assists with assignment of staff for home-based services.
• Develops and implements reports, presentations, and advertising for program.
• Manages all program paperwork and reporting to CPS’s Office of Early Childhood Education and Parents As Teachers (PAT), and other funders.
• Collaborates with the Manager of Early Childhood Programs and Regional Director to assure staff’s attainment of the programs quantitative goals.
• Collaborates with the Regional Director to conceptualize and implement expanded programming in the community, as needed.
• Collaborates with the Evaluation Department and submits all statistical reports as needed.
• Attends and participates in meetings for clinical, managerial, and/or general staff.
• Collaborates with CPS’s Office of Early Childhood Education and the Ounce of Prevention and attends all required trainings (as needed).
• Participates in program planning with the Regional Director, Operations management team, and the executive director (as needed).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Job Requirements
Education:
• Master’s degree in social work or related field (MSW or MSSA) from an accredited school.
• Combination of education, BA/BS minimum, and 5 years of supervisory experience will be considered
Experience:
• Minimum of 4 years of experience working with youth.
• A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of and experience working within early childhood development and education. Prior experience with Parents as Teachers curriculum preferred
Other:
• Sensitivity to cultural diversity is required. Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse families, various professionals and community groups.
• Ability to manage the Early Advantage team and must demonstrate leadership abilities and utilizes reflective supervision
Key Competencies:
• Competent in Microsoft Office tools and inputting services in an online database
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
• Must be able to frequently move inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Must be able to transport oneself to and from home visits.
• Occasionally ascends/descends stairs.
• Constantly positions oneself to assist children during activities.
• Frequently moves desks, chairs, tables, easels, and children's toys.
• At times may be required to lift up to 25 lbs. for various classrooms and event’s needs.
• Frequently moves in outdoor weather conditions
