The Crotched Mountain School, a Program of Seven Hills New Hampshire is hiring Interventionists.

The Interventionist is the lead during immediate safety issues including but not limited to; missing persons, severe weather, suspected abuse/neglect response including appropriate reporting, emergency healthcare coordination in the event of an illness or injury, etc.

Responsibilities

Interventionist Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist with the coordination of emergency response for situations including but not limited to; elopement (lost resident), medical, and weather emergencies
• Assist maintenance personnel with campus safety issues including but not limited to, trespassing, wild animals, broken windows, extreme weather conditions, etc.
• Respond appropriately to a variety of safety situations by implementing procedures such as cordoning off unsafe areas, contacting local authorities for assistance, supporting maintenance with immediate repairs, and facilitating evacuation procedures
• Routinely audit client program areas for physical and behavior safety compliance including but not limited to; adherence to individual client protocols, use of daily flows, therapeutic meal plans, and hygiene plans.
• Advocate and protect student rights
• Under appropriate supervision and consistent with program guidelines: demonstrate knowledge of and train program and classroom teams how to implement clients’ IEP goals and objectives, court orders, positive behavior support plans, suicide intervention protocols, clinical treatment plans, et al.
• Participate in field trips, community outings, Special Olympics events, CMRC special events, and vocational opportunities as directed.
• When required, assist clients with Activities of Daily Living as determined by their level of need, including but not limited to, toileting, tooth brushing, and showering.
• Identify training gaps in the growth and learning of the Residential Life team and collaborate with the Residential Life Leadership team to create new training opportunities for the staff
• Under appropriate supervision and consistent with program guidelines: demonstrate knowledge of and train program and classroom teams how to implement clients’ IEP goals and objectives, court orders, positive behavior support plans, suicide intervention protocols, clinical treatment plans, et al.

Qualifications

Resident Counselor Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree 
• Supervisory Experience
• Experience managing emergency situations
