Overview/ Job Responsibilities

Sev1Tech is actively seeking a well-qualified Systems Engineer that enjoys working with a team of multi-disciplined professionals, delivering new capabilities and technologies to the warfighter. This position is in direct support of the Army’s Tactical Radios (TR) program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

A successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Providing premier support to, and representation of, PM TR in meetings, discussions, tests and characterization events regarding proper fit and suitability of installation kit hardware and electrical components.
• Review and provide change input to technical data packages for prototyping, manufacturing, and large-scale production of assets to be installed on/in tracked and wheeled platforms across the Army’s fleet of vehicles.
• Participate in various internal and external Platform Integration IPTs regarding hardware performance and field-testing requirements
• Support the creation and changes of Performance Work Statement’s for industry consideration
• Capable of presenting technical courses of action to government executives and the warfighter
• Perform trade-off studies for system level design and material acquisition of tactical communication systems, implement and test such methodologies and devices

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of five (5) years related experience of progressively more complex experience in hardware and/or electrical design, development, and documentation
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Must have experience using Army Tactical Radios, radio networks and be able to think “outside of the box” to integrate systems
• Very strong interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management and cross-functional team leadership and coordination
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently across a range of complex projects
• Must have a minimum of an active Secret Clearance
• Travel: possibly up to 30% within the US and potentially overseas

Desired Qualifications

• Military (Army) experience is preferred
• CAD/AutoCAD/Creo experience is a plus
