Sese Industrial Services US is Hiring a Controls Engineer (Siemens) Near Chattanooga, TN

Description

Sese Industrial is a greenfield operation that has an immediate opening for Controls Engineer. He/she is responsible for the overall computer controls for the process. Ensure effectiveness and efficiencies for processes and equipment in a fast-paced assembly manufacturing environment. Implementing and maintaining a reliable process for continuous improvement. Use Lean manufacturing techniques such as troubleshooting, applying Quality Tools such as FMEA, SPC, Cpk analysis.

ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the inclusion of any obtained organizational knowledge into the QMS.
  • Meeting production program in time and form (Just-In-Sequence-Production).
  • Work with supervisors, team leaders and production employees for continuous improvement
  • Organize and conduct workshops on Continuous Improvement to create efficient production processes.
  • Coordinate and track dates for optimization
  • Responsible for code that meets product requirements written efficiently, documented clearly, bug-free.
  • Troubleshoot industrial control hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Perform the tasks assigned in quality and in time.
  • Order and cleanliness of their position and its environment 
  • Respect "quality and environment" procedures and the rules of health and safety
  • Ensuring the implementation of good practices.
  • Promoting and implementing continuous improvement in the production process come up with ideas.
  • Additional responsibilities and activities may be added on a need basis, as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or minimum of 4 years technical experience and 2 years Siemens PLC and HMI programming in a related field.
  • Automotive background preferred. Assembly and production experience is required. Experience in JIS, JIT, TPS, 5S and Six Sigma.
  • Experience with machine commissioning and providing remote onsite support. 
  • Experience setting up and maintaining common industrial networks such as (Ethernet IP, Profinet or Profibus). 
  • Programming experience and basic knowledge of electrical and electronic systems preferred. 
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • High tolerance towards working under pressure.
  • Personal judgment and independency to take actions.
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason.
  • Communication skills – interpersonal, oral presentation and written.

KNOWLEDGE IN THE FOLLOWING TECHNICAL AREAS:

  •  Assembly/production JIS and JIT experience
  • SAP knowledge and Siemens Step 7
  • MTM knowledge
  • Programming experience PLC
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems
  • Assembly tooling and fixture knowledge
  • Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing 5S
  • Ability to design/establish manufacturing processes.
  • Prefer mechanically inclined.
  • Managing ability and skills to analyze problems.
  • Knowledge in Quality System such as ISO TS 16949, OHSAS
