SES Group of Companies is growing! We are seeking a talented Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) to join the Herman Construction Group, Inc (HGC) team, an SES Group of Companies subsidiary. The ideal candidate plays a critical role in maintaining current records of safety operations, activities, training, monitoring, and inspections performed (including the work of subcontractors and suppliers). This position will be located at the Travis Air Force base in Fairfield, CA. The project consists of providing 1,851 SF addition to the existing fuel cell maintenance hangar on base. If you thrive in leadership roles, apply today and become a member of our team!ResponsibilitiesPerform safety and occupational health management, surveillance, inspections, site safety orientation, activity-specific training, and enforcement for the Contractor.Conduct daily safety and health inspections, and maintain a written log which includes the date of inspection, area/operation inspected, identified hazards, recommended corrective actions, and estimated and actual dates of corrections.Attach safety inspection logs to the Contractors' daily quality control report.Maintain the OSHA Form 300 and Daily Production reports for prime and sub-contractors.Conduct mishap investigations and complete required reports.Provide applicable safety reference material on the job site.Attend the pre-construction conference, pre-work meetings including preparatory inspection meetings, and periodic in-progress meetings.Implement and enforce accepted APPs and AHA's.Maintain a safety and health deficiency tracking system that monitors outstanding deficiencies until resolution, then post a list of unresolved safety and health deficiencies on the site safety bulletin board.Ensure sub-contractor compliance with safety and health requirements.Keep a list of hazardous chemicals on-site and their material safety data sheet.QualificationsMinimum of 5 years of construction safety experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Effective leadership abilities, including time management, delegation, prioritizing, and multitasking.Successfully pass a federal background check to obtain a security clearance.Preferred QualificationsOSHA 30-hour, EM-385-1 40-hour training is a plus.Additional Construction Safety Related Training is a plus.About SES Group of Companies LLCSES Group of Companies LLC LEADS the way to a sustainable future for all stakeholders via our leadership (L), excellence (E), accountability (A), dedication (D), and safety (S).
