THE ROLE

Servicon is seeking a team-oriented, deadline-driven Staff Accountant who is eager to contribute to the growth of our organization. You can lead complex accounting projects and initiatives to drive efficiencies. The Staff Accountant provides support to the accounting department by managing daily accounting tasks through demonstration of efficient, complete, accurate, and timely maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions, including processing invoices and issuing payments. You will function as a liaison for outside vendors, corresponding with them and responding to their inquiries. The Staff Accountant is responsible for general ledger and spend analysis, as well as reconciliations while ensuring compliance with all federal and state government requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Budgeting and Financial Statement preparations
• Financial Reporting
• Audit management
• Accounts Payable management
• Partner, collaborate with internal internal/external clients and vendors
• Work with finance team on a variety of ad-hoc projects as needed

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• 2 years’ experience in accounts payable
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
• Excellent analytical, computational, and mathematical abilities, comfort working with numbers
• Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and expense management systems
• Experience in Chrome River, Divvy, and/or SAP ByDesign a plus
• Excellent MS office suite skills with advanced expertise in Excel
• Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines and simultaneously manage several tasks
• Self-starter, motivated and reliable
• Strong organization and attention to details
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
• Collaborative, team player
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion of employee and company financial information
• Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information from both the client and Servicon
