Job Summary

The Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the accounting functions in accounts receivable & accounts payable company wide with direction from the Director of Finance.

Essential Job Functions

• Supervision of the Administrative Assistant, Accounts Payable Specialist, Accounts Receivable Specialist, AR Collections Specialist & AR/AP Clerk
• Ensure collections policy is followed and metrics are met.
• Auditing of daily entries to ensure Accuracy of company financials.
• Perform all aspects of fixed asset accounting.
• Report capital expenditures versus budgeting
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and other supporting schedules for balance sheet items.
• Create monthly journal entries for cash transactions and for expense account activity.
• Perform general ledger account analysis on a monthly basis and correcting journal entries.
• Assist Director in the preparation of the annual budget. Perform monthly analytical comparisons of actual versus budget and prior year expenses.
• Develop financial strategy for all acquisitions and consolidations.
• Assist with cash and operational revenue and expense forecasting.
• Development of monthly P&L forecasts / budgets
• Proper evaluation and depreciation of fixed assets
• Perform analytical reviews of revenues and expenses to help recommend strategies.
• Overseeing/Monitoring Daily invoicing and deposits
• Overseeing/Monitoring Collections according to company guidelines
• Overseeing/Monitoring/Assisting in filing of legal actions and following through on legal actions
• Overseeing/Monitoring Payroll as according to company guidelines.
• Monthly franchise fee reports and QRV Lead Fees and Media Fees in accordance with company guidelines as well as any TPAs.
• Approving weekly accounts payable payments
• Bi-weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly Federal and State Payroll Taxes and Sales Tax Reports
• Maintain Preferred Vendor Lists – including organized system of W-9, Certificates of Liability Insurance, and Sub Contractor Agreements
• Assist in Year End Process of 1099’s – W-2’s (anything to close year out for employees and vendors as well as preparation of information for accountant.)
• Monthly/Quarterly Review with Director, and review of information with account in accordance of President direction to review tax preparation.

Skills/Qualifications

QuickBooks’s Software experience, Microsoft suit experience, leadership experience, Analytical skills, Supervisory experience, team development skills, coaching and training experience.

Minimum Requirements

• Associated Degree in Accounting or related field, 3-5 years Accounting experience.
• 3-5 years supervisory or leadership experience
• 3-5 Years QuickBooks experience
• Demonstrated Knowledge of MS Office Suit
• Understanding of GAAP
• Advanced mathematical skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc.
• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written.
• Hours 8 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday, due to the nature of emergency services/our business hours could vary and include occasional weekend or holidays.
