Serco is seeking a Systems Administrator to support the lab and deployment, integrating and installing physical security systems including maintaining the systems with patches and upgrades. Under the contract Serco provides life-cycle management, integration, acquisition, and technical support for vehicle gates, personnel turnstiles, and remote surveillance in support of safety and anti-terrorism.

In this role, you will:

• Mentor and guide Junior Systems Administrators in an ever-changing lab environment 
• Execute and assess technical changes in a lab environment
• Provide system administration support for Windows OS and Server
• Install new software releases and system upgrades.
• Evaluate and install security patches and resolves software related problems.
• Perform system backups and recovery.
• Maintain data files and monitors system configuration to ensure system and data integrity.
• Maintain the configuration baselines for the system
• Compose step by step repeatable procedures
• Work with a worldwide team, coordinates systems that integrate with Security and Emergency operations centers

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline with 5-7 years’ experience in Information Technology or Cyber Security environment
• 2-3 years' experience working with SQL 
• 1-2 years' script writing experience 
• Must have active Secret DoD Security Clearance
• Must be 8570 Compliant Workforce IAT Level II
• Working knowledge of operating systems security features and settings (e.g. Windows, Unix, and/or Linux)
• Working knowledge of servers, software, networking equipment and infrastructure
• Experience troubleshooting network and system security administration
• Good communicator - able to deal with multiple personalities face-to-face and virtually

Additional desired experience and skills:

• Experience with information security toolsets such as HBSS
• Experience with PowerShell
• Experience with security systems video feeds
• Certification in Windows Operating System and Windows Server, or VMWare
• Experience in the administration of Window’s Active Directory infrastructure to include Group Policy Object management experience, VMware ESXi server, data base solutions to include Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases
• Ability to multi-task and teach or assist others to resolve Systems related issues.
• Ability to create Standard Operating Procedure documentation for designs and implementation strategies of new hardware and software deployments.
• Ability to produce system specifications, design requirements, test evaluation planning documents, and technical publications and reports.
• Familiarity with DoD networking and security accreditation requirements.
• Familiarity with HBSS, eMASS, ACAS, SCAP, VRAM, DIACAP/RMF
• Lenel Certification (LCA, LCP, LCE, LCDA)
• Eligible for TS clearance (No classified work as of yet)
• Familiarity/experience with Cisco UCS minis, IPSecurity Center, DMP, Commend software, Milestone software, Solar Winds, ELM Enterprise, Remedy ticketing system, Security Info and Event Management (SIEM), or Audio/Video (A/V) security systems, CCTV, or video surveillance. 

• Familiarity/experience with Naval Public Safety Network (PSNet), Help desk support, Security Operations Center C2SOC, Emergency Ops Center (EOC), in support of anti-terrorism and force protection. 

• Any DoD cybersecurity Risk Management Framework (RMF), Information Assurance (IA), or achieving Authority to Operate (ATO) experience
