Position Description

The Facilities Specialist will be on a dynamic team, working under the direction of the Site Services Lead within the Site Services department (SSD). The SSD supports and enables the various operations teams to deliver on processing PBGC’s pension benefits applications and payments, along with all associated tasks and functions. You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco teams to deliver a wide variety of tasks.

The SSD’s primary areas of responsibility include: Communications, Information Assurance, Information Technology and Facilities. Specialists support the various functional areas as business needs determine. The site services lead, working with the site services manager, will assign tasks and projects based upon a combination of need, skills, and areas of strength.

As a Facilities Specialist III you will:

· Support/participate in tasks and projects related to facilities security management including but not limited to physical site security and systems security

· Develop, log, track, enhance safety protocols related to onsite presence in facilities related to PII physical and systems protection

· Interface, log and track risks, issues and opportunities related to facilities

· Support/assist in execution and testing of facilities drills related to emergency preparedness

· Communicate and liaise with WSD (PBGCs facilities management group)

· Order/manage and track supplies for operational support as needed in the normal course of business

· Collaborate with various operations teams on logistical support for data gathering initiatives

· Assist with onboarding support efforts such as I-9 verification, site scheduling of PIV card activities, and assignment of PBGC-issued assets

· Provide security training, reminders, and recommendations for Improvement

· Provide support for logistical efforts related to the worksite

· Identification of efficiencies

· Flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work independently on assigned projects or tasks

· Strong communication and organizational skills are needed to be successful

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A High School diploma
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with facilities security management including but not limited to physical site security and systems security.
  • The ability to obtain and/or maintain a public trust security clearance is required.
