Electrical Systems Engineer

In the Electrical Systems Engineer role, you will serve as a general engineer in PMS 312’s efforts to maintain configuration management of In-Service Aircraft Carriers’ Electrical Distribution Plant.

In this role, you will:

• Provide program management support on matters related to Aircraft Carrier non-propulsion electrical systems and equipment, including electrical power distributive systems.
• Collaborate and interact with aircraft carrier community stakeholders to support and brief at periodic conferences and reviews, including the Planning Yard Program Review (PYPR), and the Life Cycle Maintenance Group (LCMG) and Carrier Team One semi-annual forums.
• Interface with other PEOs and Program Offices, Type Commander Staffs, OPNAV Sponsor (N885), other systems commands, field activities and labs, & industry partners to address/resolve non-propulsion electrical system issues that require coordination across organizations, and/or development/refinement of policies.
• Coordinate with the Aircraft Carrier Technical Community to sustain the viability of electrical distributive systems, thereby ensuring the continued capability of Aircraft Carriers to support their 50-year service life in addition to supporting war fighter enhancements introduced by Program Acquisition Resource Managers (PARMs).
• Support the development of Program Objective Memorandum (POM)/Procurement Request (PR) issue papers for all non-propulsion electrical systems/equipment, including the development of responses to budget marks and/or questions pertaining to the area of responsibility.
• Support the investigation and assessments of programmatic and technical information impacting Aircraft Carrier Community Cost Wise Readiness Team in the area of non-propulsion electrical systems.
• Provide PMS 312 representative on various working groups (WGs), as necessary. The WGs may be periodic and ad hoc in nature. Changes in WGs participation may occur over the period of performance. The contractor will monitor discussions, take necessary and perform appropriate assignments, and report back to PMS 312E
• Support the Topside Design Approval process by participating in stakeholder review meetings for external alterations to CVNs to provide situational awareness of these alterations to PMS 312E. The contractor will review Approved Topside Locations Forms and make recommendations for approval to PMS 312E.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field.
• Eight to 10 years overall experience within a U.S. Navy or DoD Acquisition Programs.
• Experience with MS Office Suite.
• An active or current DoD Secret security clearance.

Additional desired experience and skills:

• A Masters degree in the Engineering field.
