Seneca Family of Agencies is Hiring a Facilities Technician Near Salinas, CA

Overview

The Facilities Technician is a fundemental member of our Facilities & Maintenance team. You will be responsible for the general maintenance and repair of schools, residences, treatment facilities, business offices, and equipment. If you possess practical skills and knowledge in painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and/or electrical work, this is the role for you! The Facilities Technician is our go-to for keeping schools, residences, treatment facilities, business offices and surrounding areas clean, safe, and orderly to ensure that clients and staff have a pristine and functioning work environment to succeed in.

As the Facilities Technician, you will serve Seneca sites throughout Santa Clara and Monterey County. We will provide a company vehicle and mileage reimbursement!

Responsibilities

  • Install or repair electrical receptacles, switches, fixtures, wires, motors, doors, and locks.
  • Paint structures and equipment to maintain a professional look and quality.
  • Perform regular maintenance on Seneca sites (e.g., schools and residences).
  • Maintain or replace paneling, floor tiles, and window panes.
  • Repair or replace walls, floors, steps, and plumbing as needed.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of general maintenance or related experience.
  • Basic knowledge and skills on computer use and data input.
  • High school diploma or equivalent informal education sufficient to ensure ability to perform job duties.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
  • Knowledge of modern cleaning methods and the use and care of cleaning materials and equipment.
  • Knowledge of maintaining schools, residences, treatment facilities, business offices and grounds in a safe, clean and orderly condition.
  • Ability to perform heavy physical labor.
  • Comfortable working from heights such as with ladders and scaffolds.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccinations and booster required.

Schedule

  • Full-time: Monday - Friday.
    • Flexible schedule preferred but not required.

  • Starting $26.00. Actual pay is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role.
