Are you ready to be part of a team who is passionate about making a difference helping children, families and our communities? At Seneca, we are looking for a Behavioral Interventionist Specialist for our CrossCOST team.
As a Behavioral Intervention Specialist, you will support students who exhibit the most challenging behaviors to modify their behavior so they can access education and stay in the lowest level of school placement possible. Based on the referrals our CrossCOST receive, your work will have a broader impact by being responsible for collecting data, developing or modifying Gen Ed behavioral plans, coaching school staff on implementing student intervention plans, and collaborating on larger school systems and culture and climate support.
ABOUT PROGRAM
As Behavioral Intervention Specialist with the Cross Coordination Services Team (CrossCOST), you will provide direct services one day per week at one of our elementary Seattle Public School district partnerships, with the additional four days supporting the emergent needs across the charter school network, grades K-12. Our work follows the core principles of the Unconditional Education model: that conditions will not be placed on students’ access to a high-quality education. Every student deserves a school environment where they are supported to thrive. Seneca seamlessly interweaves special education services within our public-school partnership programs with rich therapeutic and healing-centered behavioral supports to intervene quickly and efficiently with students with diverse needs. Many students with academic deficits have experienced years of school failure; our goal is to provide an enriching and successful environment where students’ strengths are celebrated and their needs are addressed with various targeted interventions.
