A day in the life of our Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

We are looking for a motivated, self-starter to lead the world-wide financial planning and analysis effort. Someone who can become an expert in Sendle’s business and can keep management informed on business performance and opportunities to optimize financial results.

Our Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will work across:

• Global Leadership: Lead the annual planning and monthly forecasting process working closely with the GLT to analyze performance and develop financial plans
• Risk and Opportunity Management: Effectively manage risks and opportunities
• Forecasting: Drive high levels of consistent forecast accuracy while providing regular and insightful reports on business performance
• Team Mentoring: Manage, support, and mentor a team of finance professionals

You have

• Proactive leadership guiding and running an FP&A team within a start-up environment
• Experience leading an effective and efficient annual planning process 
• Consistently and reliably delivers insightful reporting on business performance
• Expert financial modeler, who understands business levers and ways to improve forecast accuracy

You might also have

• A Degree in Finance or Accounting, an MBA is a plus
• Have experience within the Logistics and Shipping industry
• Experience fundraising for an organization
• Demonstrated experience supporting a global team

You are

• A quick learner - you love learning new things, and quickly figuring out how to do things for the first time.
• A natural collaborator- you lead by communicating and collaborating in a professional, approachable and effective manner with a diverse range of stakeholders, often serving as a translator to multidisciplinary teams. 
• A Startupper at heart - You are ok with starting a project or task with incomplete information and resources - including a small team and short deadlines! You also understand that in startups things move and change quickly, so it’s essential to work with resolve while knowing that things could change within a few days.
