Job DescriptionSellers & Associates, LLC (S&A) is seeking aAcquisition Management Support IIIto work Remote.
The Acquisition Management Support II role provides essential program, analytical, and acquisition management support to ensure the effective development of acquisition packages, including Simplified Acquisition Packages (SAP). This position requires a strong background in supporting Department of the Navy (DoN) and Department of Defense (DoD) contract development processes and standards. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of acquisition standards and guidelines and will assist in developing clear, concise, and compliant requirements and contracting documents.
Job Responsibilities- Provide daily program, analytical, and acquisition management support in the development of acquisition packages, including Simplified Acquisition Packages (SAP).
- Support the DoN and/or DoD contract development processes, methods, and artifacts.
- Research and apply acquisition standards and guidelines, including NAVSEA, Naval Warfare Center, FARs, DFARs, DFARS PGI, and NMCARs.
- Support the generation of quality operational, functional, and technical requirements.
- Assist requirements stakeholders across the department in developing clear, concise, and unambiguous requirements.
- Review and recommend corrections to contracting documents to ensure quality, adherence to development standards, and alignment with technical requirements.
- Coordinate and attend meetings as required.
- Generate Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) for the development process, track development schedules in accordance with milestones, and generate status reports and briefs as directed.
- Support the development of new internal processes to streamline the acquisition process.
- Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in acquisition management support or a similar role within DoN and/or DoD environments.
- Strong background in supporting DoN and/or DoD contract development processes.
- In-depth knowledge of acquisition standards and guidelines, including NAVSEA, Naval Warfare Center, FARs, DFARs, DFARS PGI, and NMCARs.
- Must Have
- Active Secret Clearance
- Proven experience in supporting acquisition management within DoN and/or DoD.
- Strong knowledge of acquisition standards and guidelines.
- Ability to generate quality operational, functional, and technical requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to review and recommend corrections to contracting documents.
- Nice to Have
- Advanced degree in a related field.
- Professional certifications in acquisition management or contract management.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma).
- Familiarity with NAVSEA and Naval Warfare Center operations and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in generating Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) and tracking development schedules.
