About Seed
Adult-use cannabis is now legal in a handful of U.S. states. Massachusetts is leading the charge on the East coast and Seed is pleased to be one of the first locally permitted establishments in the City of Boston.

In March 2021, Seed opened its first of three high-end retail cannabis establishment and social justice cannabis museum in Jamaica Plain. Seed not only offers guests a wide range of products, but also supports the communities in which it operates and creates a conversation around the history, science and culture of cannabis.

Seed is currently seeking outgoing, customer-focused Concierge to provide our customers with a unique retail experience. The Concierge will engage in operational activities including greeting customers in a welcoming manner, scanning identification, instructing customers through their customer journey, monitoring occupancy and dispensary perimeter, providing security (throughout the day, during cash transports and product receipt), and providing excellent customer service.

We are looking for:

• Energetic, friendly, positive people who are self-motivated and passionate about helping others
• Superstars in customer service

• Previous experience with security is a plus

• Good listeners and strong communicators
• Experience in the marijuana industry is NOT required

Duties and responsibilities:

• Warmly greet/check-in all customers
• Scan customer identification
• Instruct customers through their customer journey
• Monitor occupancy in the dispensary and around the dispensary perimeter
• Monitor security (throughout the day, during cash transports and product receipt)
• Participate in general housekeeping duties for the store
• Upholding company policies and procedures and local/state regulations
• This position reports to the General Manager

Qualifications:

• 2 years of customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment
• Local applicants preferred
• Minimum of a high school degree required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to communicate with a diverse group of customers and staff members
• Excellent organizational skills
• Reliable, Professional, and Trustworthy
• Positive attitude
• Must be over 21

• Must have flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs, be able to stand for long periods of time, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach

Compensation:

• Starting at $16/hour

This position is classified as non-exempt, and therefore, you will be eligible to receive overtime pay based on federal and state requirements. While there is no promise of overtime, it may be required either on a regular or periodic basis due to business necessity.
