Seattle Childrens Hospital is Hiring a Health Information Technician Near Seattle, WA

Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring the integrity of patient health information in accordance with Seattle Children’s policies and guidelines, Federal regulations (HIPAA) and Washington State Confidentiality laws. Will provide support for one or more of the following Health Information Integrity teams: Document Imaging: Coordinate tasks that support complete, accurate and timely processing of scanned health information for use by healthcare providers, management and government/regulatory agencies. Release of Information: Coordinate and fulfill routine disclosures of protected health information (PHI) to requesting entities. Clinical Documentation Support: Coordinate tasks and provide support to ensure complete, accurate and timely processing of clinical documentation.

Requirements

Required Education/Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent experience - Minimum of one (1) year office experience in a health care setting, or at least one (1) year of college coursework in a Health Information Management program or closely related field of study. Preferred: - Currently certified or eligible to take the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification exam administered by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) - Previous work experience in a medical record or medical office setting. - Work experience or familiarity with healthcare applications or software.

Min to Max Hourly Salary

Min: USD $24.36/Hr. Max: USD $36.54/Hr.

Min Salary: USD $24.36/Hr. Max Salary: USD $36.54/Hr.

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

Seattle Children’s offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
