Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit, unified adult cancer care and research center that is clinically integrated with UW Medicine, a world leader in clinical care, research and learning. The first National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in the Pacific Northwest, Fred Hutch’s global leadership in bone marrow transplantation, HIV/AIDS prevention, immunotherapy, and COVID-19 vaccines has confirmed our reputation as one of the world’s leading cancer, infectious disease and biomedical research centers. The Telecom Analyst is responsible for the operation, management, and support of telecommunication systems. This includes being on-call and ensuring the phone systems (including 911 access) are up and functional 24x7x365. Current telecom related systems include a basic understanding of CUCM, Unity Connection, UCCX, IMP, CER, handsets, analog lines, e-faxing, and telehealth technologies. Preferably 2 years of experience with the Cisco Collaboration platform. The Telecom Analyst must possess strong communication skills and ability to form relationships across all business units. Researches and assist with the implementation of new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Is responsible for ensuring the phone systems are operational & functional.
• Designs, implements, and maintains the organization's data and/or voice communications systems.
• Coordinating, reviewing, and performing repair services in emergency situations as needed.
• Analyzes business needs of the user and recommends solution to the hardware and/or software systems.
• Provides monitoring and data network analyses to support short- and long-range planning.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid WA Driver's License.
• Ability to troubleshoot, navigate and think through complex telecommunication and related systems, and integrations with other non-communication systems (Nurse Call, etc.)
• Systems experience: 2 years of experience working with Cisco Unified Communication Collaboration Systems (UC, Unity Connection, IM&P, CER, UCCX), eFaxing applications, Windows & Linux systems.
• Telecom Networking: 2 years of experience working with Cisco Phones SIP/SCCP, PRI, FXS, SIP Trunking, and Cisco CUBE configuration.
• Setting: Experience in a healthcare / hospital environment is desirable.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's or equivalent working experience.

SCCA has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, and there are no exceptions for any employee who is patient-facing and/or requires access to SCCA facilities.

Exceptions exist only for employees whose positions are fully remote, with no required access to campus. As a condition of employment, newly hired employees requiring access to campus must provide proof of vaccination before their first day of employment.
