The Role 

Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for accurately administrating and processing payroll for Searchspring employees in all operating regions, including the United States, Canada, and Australia. You are a key player to ensure employees are compensated correctly and on time. 

What does that look like in the day to day?

• Process semi-monthly multi-state and international payroll (to include earnings calculations for Canadian employees) timely and accurately 
• Prepare and process special payroll runs as needed
• Maintain accurate payroll information and records within the HRIS 
• Coordinate with the HR and Accounting team(s) regarding payroll changes (e.g. new hires, promotions/raises, terminations) and updates to employee benefits
• Answer employee questions and address issues related to salaries and payments
• Stay current on International, Federal, and State payroll legislation
• Willingness and ability to pivot as special assignments/projects arise

Requirements 

• Minimum two years experience in multi-state and international payroll process (Canada and/or Australia preferred) 
• Preferred experience with ADP Workforce Now
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity 
• Working knowledge of legislation relevant to accounting and payroll
• Excellent customer service and communication to internal and external customers

Salary Range

Base salary ranges from $45,000-$50,000 per year.
