Job Description:

The Senior Software Engineer analyzes, develops, creates and modifies web-based software solutions to meet organizational needs, including solutions for other product offerings.

• You will be defining, developing, and assisting in the transformational Web experience for client's service and product capabilities
• You will represent the engineering team while collaborating with product owners and subject matter experts to identify key business objectives to support the organization’s vision
• You will analyze the root cause for any software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions
• You will assist in development task planning, estimation, scheduling, and staffing decisions
• You will share knowledge with regards to design principles, implementation techniques, and emerging technologies and trends.
• You will make formal and informal technical presentations
• You will mentor Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities
• You will actively contribute to and participate in the different stages of the software development life cycle practiced by our engineering team
• You will keep the leadership team informed of important developments, risk areas, potential problems, and related information necessary for decision making
• You are curious about and interested in contributing up and down the technology stack

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 8-10 years of web software development experience
• 3 years of hands-on experience with React, HTML, CSS and Javascript/Node.js
• Experience with NoSQL databases, DynamoDB will be a plus
• Experience in developing for and consuming AWS services (Terraform, Lambda functions, Cognito, AppSync) or similar cloud computing services
• Knowledge of content management solutions (e.g. Contentful, WordPress)
• Creative thinking and problem solving to distill complex problems down to actionable items
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with personnel and outside contacts.
