The Seagate Hotel & Spa are looking to hire a Painter/Carpenter to work at our Hotel, and Clubs Properties in Delray beach. This position will be responsible primarily for General Painting and Drywall repairs throughout the properties. The ideal candidate must be able to lift equipment/tools from 50lbs and be able to climb up and down a ladder.

Painter/Carpenter Responsibilities

• Fulfills all responsibilities as set in the general description when assigned by The Chief Engineer.
• Preforms carpentry repairs and new construction on various structures.
• Performs repairs on blinds, shades, locks, lockers, furniture, and doors.
• Installs and repairs floor tiles, ceiling tiles, glass.
• Performs painting, plastering, and installs wall covering.
• Responds to trouble calls as may occur during normal working hours.
• Responds to emergency calls that may occur after normal working hours.
• Demonstrates knowledge of using a verity of hand and power tools.
• Demonstrates knowledge to prepare walls and ceilings for paint.
• Demonstrates knowledge on how to figure square footage and linear footage.
• Demonstrates knowledge of how to figure a materials list for ordering.

Position Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years directly relatable experience or advanced technical training as a painter/ carpenter.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to interpret and apply a common sense understanding to a variety of instruction and information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to identify and define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to speak English.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both oral and written from using variety of communication techniques and tool to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions, inquiries, and/or complaints.
• Display courtesy, tact, and respect when dealing with others.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift equipment/tools from 50lbs
• Must be able to climb up and down a ladder.
• Work long hours when necessary and flexibility with schedule. 
• Be able to work weekends, nights and holidays as necessary.
