Job Duties: Provide sales support and generate business for all Seaboard Marine services. Plan and manage a regular call cycle according to the standards and directives of sales management. This will include the daily reporting of all planned/effected sales calls, making a minimum number of calls as required by sales management, and maximizing effectiveness through proper geographical identification of accounts. This will also include calls while entertaining customers and traveling. Profile and identify customer base and keep records updated, including account profiles, customer files, mailing lists, and similar requirements. Provide comprehensive reporting on specific markets, accounts, and competition on a regular basis to sales and marketing management, as well as to all regional offices. Keep abreast of all tariff changes, including any new regulations and changes in rate applicability and maintain proactive communication with pricing staff and overseas offices to ensure company directives are followed. Keep Sales Manager properly informed of any issues concerning assigned areas of responsibility and provide any necessary support as directed by Sales Management. Reports to Sales Manager; no supervision or hire/fire authorization.

Requirements: Five years’ experience in industry related market. Must have industry-specific sales experience in maritime import/export field and experience in the Central and South American markets. Must have market analysis and statistics experience in addition to experience with STARS or comparable marketing management system. Working knowledge of Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) regulations and Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT). Must have current driver’s license and be able to meet company requirements for clean driving record. May require mostly regional travel up to 100% of the time.
