We’re looking for a creative and analytical candidate to fill the position of Junior Data Analyst in our Meriden, CT Office. The focus will be to drive the performance of our operations, with an emphasis on BI Reporting. The right candidate is an enthusiastic learner, detail oriented, open minded and not afraid to take risks, can work independently or as part of a team and has the ability to juggle multiple tasks.

This hybrid role will be part of a centralized analyst function, focusing on developing, analyzing and creating models/tools used by various areas of business. 

It is vital that the candidate has an analytical mindset, be a strong communicator and can adapt to fast paced, ever changing business environments. The potential is massive, the experience unrivalled. The Responsibilities

As part of this role you will assist and work with Senior Management. You will support teams that work across a variety of projects and deliver support to many areas of our business. The areas of responsibility you will have are:

  • Data Analysis and Business Partnering, supporting the analysis and decision making of the Senior Managers.
  • Provide informative analysis.
  • Proactively identify trends in data and make recommendations on operational improvements.
  • Understand processes and systems and recommend changes to continuously improve them.
  • Support infrastructure, controls and Business Intelligence.
  • Create/troubleshoot/validate management reports.

Here are the qualifications we are looking for

  • Recent college degree, or equivalent education in the areas such as Business, Finance, Mathematics or Economics (relevant work experience will be considered)
  • Strong problem-solving acumen
  • Ability to communicate with wide range of stakeholders with various levels of technical understanding
  • Able to demonstrate exceptional numerical and analytical skills with outstanding attention to detail
  • Skilled at analyzing large and complex datasets
  • Understanding of Microsoft Excel formulas/pivot tables
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Power BI (or similar BI tools; Tableau, Looker etc.)
  • QL / other programming knowledge
  • Experience in a retail setting advantageous
  • Training can be provided on the above where necessary, but an eagerness to learn these types of skills will certainly be required
