Scout APM is Hiring a Remote Solutions Advisor (SDR/AE Hybrid)

Full Time | Remote, Denver, CO or Raleigh, NC- Based Preferred

The Opportunity:

Maybe you’ve spent the early stages of your career pounding the phones for those outbound opportunities and want to spend more time talking to customers who are interested in your products? Or is your employer requiring you to come back into the office and you’re not having it? We’ve got you covered.

We are looking for an inbound Solutions Advisor who will be a key player in accelerating our growth. You will develop leads and nurture companies through the inbound sales funnel. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of software or web technologies, and/or familiarity with a SaaS sales cycle or business model. You must be excited about software, ready to dive deep and learn quickly about our product, our market, and broader industry trends. If you have this experience as an SDR or as an individual contributor, but haven’t been given the chance to close your own business, this might be a great fit for you.

This role requires a hunter mentality, as your time will be spent on email, LinkedIn or the phone developing leads, setting meetings, building value, and closing deals. The difference is our go to market strategy where the product helps qualify your opportunities and you focus on being a helpful resource to drive new business to revenue. Less time cold emailing/calling, more time attracting the attention of your buyer and driving new sales growth. You will learn how to professionally and promptly follow up on leads, and how to nurture them through stage based, value-driven sales process. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with potential customers. If you are motivated and results-driven, we’d like to meet you.

This is a full time, remote position. You would be expected to join for team events and come to a WeWork space when leadership is in town.

Responsibilities:

  • Qualifying leads
  • Contacting prospective clients
  • Understanding our products, services and pricing models
  • Assigning the appropriate products and services to clients
  • Booking and participating in sales meetings
  • Maintaining customer information and records
  • Communicating with different personas (Developers, IT managers, CTO's, VP of Engineering)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fully remote position requires accountability, self-discipline, and the ability to thrive outside traditional office environments
  • Prior sales or customer success experience (CSM’s looking to transition into sales do great in this role)
  • Proficiency on multiple platforms (Pipedrive, SalesLoft, email, calendar, phone, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible approach; able to operate effectively with uncertainty and change
  • Driven, self-motivated, enthusiastic and with a “can-do” attitude
  • Familiarity with Pipedrive, and/or another CRM is a plus
  • Technical understanding is required; experience in a start-up SaaS environment is a strong plus
