SCOTTCARE CARDIOVASCULAR SOLUTIONS is Hiring a HR Generalist Near Cleveland, OH

BASIC PURPOSE/SCOPE

ScottCare Cardiovascular Solutions is seeking a dynamic individual that will be responsible for performing HR-related duties that align corporate objectives across employees, management, and the business. This position carries out responsibilities in all or some of the functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitation and Administration of Recruiting activities, including applicant screening, job postings, interview scheduling, applicant tracking, and other recruiting activities as needed.
  • Conducting and facilitating pre-employment tasks such as completing reference checks, background checks, and scheduling drug screening for candidates.
  • Facilitate employee onboarding activities such as new hire orientation, I9 verifications, and HR and Administration training.
  • Performs tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Leads in the organization and coordination of employee events and activities and any support needed during activities and events.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Coaches, counsels, and guides managers in the coaching and disciplinary process. Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintaining and updating employee records, staffing changes, processing leaves, resignations, and terminations on the HRIS Platform, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

A bachelor's degree and two to three years of HR experience, seven years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The HR Generalist will be sitting, walking, standing, twisting, bending, squatting, climbing, and kneeling intermittently daily. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. They will be required to reach or work below shoulder level. HR Generalist may be required to lift and move up to 15 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The HR Generalist works primarily indoors in an office environment where temperatures fluctuate and the noise level is typically moderate. Some travel to the Delaware office is required.
