This position supports the division’s needs by facilitating construction starts and related purchasing functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Generate purchase orders ensuring accuracy to plan, specifications, contract, change orders and job specific site costs

• Maintain purchasing data within proprietary software

• Assist with vendor contract processing and pricing entry

• Maintain pricing for upgrade options

• Perform budget reviews for new plans and communities, ensuring accuracy to plans and community specifications

• Review sales contracts and change orders for budget completeness and accuracy

• Provide support to the Purchasing Manager and assist with day-to-day administrative needs

• Understand cost code structure and how it affects accounting and operational reporting

• Maintain regular and punctual attendance

Requirements:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

• 2 years purchasing experience in residential home building (Preferred)

• Ability to read and understand construction plans/blueprints (Preferred)

• High level of attention to detail and cost analysis

• Proficient in basic computing skills and ability to learn proprietary software

• Must communicate well with clients, all levels of company staff, and subcontracted vendors
