Summary: The Manual Tester - Software Quality is responsible for developing and executing quality assurance test suites and testing approaches throughout the application development and support lifecycle from design, delivery, operations, and maintenance. This individual will collocate with the Development teams and Operations teams for ensuring overall code quality and ongoing maintenance and operations of a set of applications.

Location: ONSITE (Ann Arbor, MI)

General Responsibilities:

• Ability to function independently and in team environment.
• Certify software functionality for new Production releases.
• Develop automated tests for features developed in-sprint.
• Develop, document, and maintain the test strategy and test scenarios.
• Manage the defect log and ensure issues are resolved, including validation of the fix.
• Participate in developing and documenting User Stories, including testing estimates and validation tests.
• Partner with developers to find technical solutions for test automation.
• Partner with the developers to ensure all areas of the application are fully tested and issues are clearly logged and prioritized consistently.
• Provide exploratory testing to understand the feature and how it is implemented, to find additional or unexpected behavior, and to refine and define additional test cases for the feature.
• Work with Integration Build teams to manage Dev, QA and production release of software.

Pluses/Nice to haves:

• Experience in API automation testing.
• Experience in developing test using Gherkin and Cucumber.
• Experience with automated testing tools (WebStorm, IntelliJ, Selenium Web driver with JavaScript and/or Node.js).
• Experience with source control versioning systems (Git, Stash, Bitbucket.).
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools preferably Jenkins.
• Minimum 7 years industry experience, preferably in an Agile development environment.
• Experience testing Point of Sale systems and API services.
• Nice to have testing experience with Kubernetes Containers environment.
• Experience testing applications developed in Dot net, NoSQL, Java, C#, Visual Basic.
• Experience testing integration with payment Gateways and Devices a huge advantage.
• Experience automating tests with specialized tools and services including, Selenium Cucumber.
• Experience with other QA tools like Sauce Labs, Applitools, JIRA, Zephyr.
• Strong knowledge of automation best practices, test case organization tools and QA metrics is preferred.
