Job Title: Director of Financial Reporting
Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually
Bonus Target: 20%

Position Objective
The Director of Financial Reporting will serve as a key architect in sculpting the financial narrative of our organization, overseeing the meticulous preparation and strategic dissemination of periodic financial statements for external stakeholders. This role aims to establish a gold standard for financial reporting, ensuring precision, compliance with regulatory standards, and timeliness. By collaborating seamlessly with internal and external partners, the Director of Financial Reporting will play a pivotal role in upholding transparency, fostering trust, and supporting the organization's financial integrity in a dynamic and complex business landscape.
Major Functions
Financial Statement Oversight
- Direct the preparation and distribution of quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP accounting principles and SEC rules.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A.
- Lead the quarterly review process, actively engaging with audit teams to address queries and facilitate a seamless review process.
- Liaise with the tax team to ensure accurate calculation of tax provisions and annual tax requirements.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence
- Monitor and implement internal controls, collaborating with internal auditors to enhance the control environment.
- Stay abreast of accounting and financial reporting rules and regulations, providing guidance on compliance issues.
- Collaborate with legal and CPA advisors to address securities matters and maintain compliance with relevant standards.
- Manage the submission of government reports, ensuring timely and accurate compliance.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Engagement
- Work closely with internal accounting teams, legal, and CPA advisors, fostering a collaborative environment to address technical accounting issues and ensure seamless integration of financial data.
- Act as the main contact for external audits, addressing inquiries, and managing document requests (PBC).
- Collaborate with legal teams on securities matters, ensuring alignment between financial reporting and legal compliance.
- Foster a culture of open communication and knowledge-sharing, ensuring synergy between financial reporting and other organizational functions.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 8 years of relevant experience, including a combination of public accounting and corporate financial reporting for SEC registrants.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, SEC rules, and experience with consolidations in complex entity structures.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of working effectively across diverse teams.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with financial software systems.
A Plus, but Not Required
- Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
