To help us build functional systems that improve schools, we are now looking for an experienced Software Engineer in Test. At heart, you are a software engineer, and your product is the automation that stops our customers from getting a bad experience.

Objectives of this Role

• Collaborating with developers and product owners while planning, designing, reviewing product code, and developing test scenarios.
• Developing test automation frameworks and automating test scenarios using them.
• Setting up the infrastructure to run tests in CI/CD and in parallel with the right test data.
• Setting up dashboards for reporting test results in real time so everyone can see the quality of our code.
• Teaching others good quality and testing practices.
• Developing tools to assist manual and exploratory testing.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Able to collaborate and explain across departments
• Proponent of Agile processes
• Prefer to automate so that they can work less
• Experience with deploying to AWS via Docker
• Problem-solving attitude
• Collaborative team spirit
• Mentoring others in good quality and testing practices.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• BA or BS in software engineering, philosophy, history, or music
• Experience with Agile QA Automation methods and platforms

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• Deploy automated testing gates
• Work with DevOps to build deployment strategies that ensure end-to-end testing
• Work to inure production from flaws
• Investigate technical issues
• Develop documented procedures 
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting
