Responsibilities

With Service Excellence as one of our core values, we are transforming the current Information Technology department to better position SCA Health as the industry leader in surgical care. Our IT team is focused on providing our partnerships and management teams with timely, quality technology support that is reliable and helpful. 

Position Description:

IT Facility Project Management is part project management, part technology operations, and part technology advisor to our clinical business. IT Facility Project Managers plan, organize, and integrate cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact to our Ambulatory Surgical Centers. 

They coordinate with other IT teammates, surgery center staff, and vendors to solve the technology needs of the center, whether that be new software, new hardware, or upgrading existing solutions. The core elements of the job are organizing people and time resources and seeing the project through from inception to completion. Project managers are responsible for meeting the surgery centers’ and/or SCA Health IT’s needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Balancing the constraints of resource availability, project timelines, and customer expectations
  • Assisting our business in documenting business requirements for IT project work
  • Discussing IT requirements with IT and external teammates 
  • Partnering with IT and facility teammates to document project approach, design, and budget
  • Developing project plans, goals, and budgets and identifying resources needed 
  • Developing schedules and methods for measuring results 
  • Guiding and performing strategic analysis for the project 
  • Organizing and managing all phases of the project to ensure on-time completion 
  • Assembling and coordinating project team members and assigning individual responsibilities 
  • Preparing requests for proposals and conducting all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of project services and products 
  • Planning and overseeing the preparation and dissemination of project communications. 
  • Proactively identify and manage risks
  • Manage IT schedule and provide milestones to key stakeholders
  • Completion and sharing of status reports, post project assessments, and documentation for knowledge articles. 
Qualifications
  • 3 years of managing people and projects within healthcare
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of IT organization and how to drive work through key stakeholders
  • Ability to proactively identify risks and manage; ability to escalate when appropriate
  • Structured approach to project management while being flexible to adjust to organizational changes
  • Proactive, decisive, action-oriented individual
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including with Executive audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills
  • Able to clearly explain technical issues in a way that nontechnical people can understand
  • Ability to be broadly focused and manage multiple efforts concurrently
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including staff, business stakeholders, and all levels of management, up to and including the CEO
