Savoy Associates is Hiring an Insurance Sales Consultant Near Philadelphia, PA

Our growth demands a new position serving our growing customer base. In this role, you will begin by supporting our B2B sales team in the Medicare and Individual health insurance markets. These markets are the growth engine for Savoy. This position is not speculative – the business is here already.

In addition, there is a clear growth track for progressively increasing responsibilities and rewards for the successful associate.

As an Account Consultant at Savoy, you will work on supporting our sales team, building and maintaining close-knit relationships with broker partners, and assisting in the growth and maintenance of our customer base.

Responsibilities

  • Learn the business and the customers by providing direct support to the independent insurance brokers who rely on Savoy to enable their sales, such as:
    • Manage submission of contracting paperwork and follow up
    • Make sure all brokers are “ready to sell“ each year by ensuring they have proper licenses, certifications and training
    • Make sure insurance applications are complete and accurate, submit according to established processes, and track through to acceptance
    • Manage compliance requirements for broker partners
    • Resolve inquiries into commission payments
  • Help brokers master new technologies, comply with regulations, and provide accurate recommendations and quotes to their customers
  • Develop your own relationships with brokers, insurance carriers, and internal support personnel, and become their primary contact for services and support at Savoy
  • Attend industry events where you will both learn, and network with customers, sales prospects and industry influencers
  • Analyze the customer base to identify opportunities to grow sales in untapped areas, such as cross-selling related products or activating dormant accounts
  • Begin to assume the responsibilities assigned to senior sales team members with the goal becoming qualified for promotion to Account Manager

Qualifications

Technical

  • BA/BS preferred but not required
  • 1 - 3 years insurance experience in Medicare insurance preferred but not required
  • Active Health and Life License necessary. If you are not licensed, you can still be hired on the condition of becoming licensed within 6 months. Savoy will pay for your training and licensing when successful
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite. Salesforce desired but not required
