SCAD Savannah seeks an exceptionally talented interactive designer with a solid command of graphic design, information architecture, and user experience design to join its award-winning interactive services team. Under the leadership of the interactive art director, your talents will directly support the recruitment of new students worldwide for all SCAD locations, as well as internal SCAD operations and communications.

In this full-time position, you will collaborate directly with the design, content, and development teams to generate user-friendly experiences and visual assets, ranging from digital ads and elaborate websites to elegant mobile experiences, applications, and installations.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate their creative skills with visual design, graphic design, and typography while exhibiting a confident understanding of interactive design and user experience best practices with examples of fully designed websites, mobile experiences, and apps. The candidate has a keen analytical mind, is a natural problem-solver, and is capable of conveying design and interactions to coworkers, team leaders, and stakeholders. Curiosity, creativity, and a collaborative spirit are essential, as is the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, Dreamweaver, and InDesign are vital to this role and experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud is a must. Though this role does not require coding or development experience, knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, Drupal, or CMS is a major bonus.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in interactive or graphic design, user experience, or a related discipline (master’s preferred)
Three to five years of professional design experience in an agency environment*
Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, and/or other design tools
Experience with Agile, Kanban, Scrum, or Spring workflows preferred

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should be experts with Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, and experienced with Dreamweaver, InDesign, or the Creative Cloud in general.

Preferred Qualifications: The optimal candidate possesses a keen analytical mind, is a natural problem-solver, and is capable of conveying design and interactions to coworkers, team leaders, and stakeholders. This position does not require coding or development experience, but any skill with HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, Drupal, or CMS is a big plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
