Satellite Shelters, Inc. | Satellite Industries, Inc. is Hiring an Operations Specialist Near Plymouth, MN

Satellite Shelters has an exciting new opportunity for an Operations specialist who has a good understanding of construction or rental operations. This position may be based out of one of our existing branch locations, but preferred either in Plymouth, MN or Atlanta, Ga. This role will require up to two weeks of travel per month to all of our branch locations.

Position Summary:

The Operations Specialist will work with a selection of the Branches to support Satellite Shelters' operations and safety policies and procedures. This position will also work with the Director to update and implement new programs, policies, and processes. This role has several avenues for personal and professional growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support branch operations team with material sourcing, repair and service management, safety, fleet management, and logistics.
  • Participate and/or organize branch improvement projects
  • Assist with new branch setup and expansion
  • Travel to Branches to conduct safety and operational audits
  • Work on Special Projects such as recovery/disaster relief
  • Review and share best practices and "how to" videos.
  • Support corporate purchasing programs
  • Coordinate field vehicle program
  • Update and analyze service call data
  • Aid in the non-technical development of mobile applications to improve operational workflows (Power Apps).
  • Create and update the field training schedule and content.
  • Ad hoc operational reporting, capex, and financial analysis
  • Other operational and safety duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No formal supervisory role.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Experience in a construction, rental or leasing business with repeat customers desired.
  • Skill in conducting and documenting inquiries, investigations, audits, and reviews.

Physical/Mental Demands:

Position requires a high degree of concentration to manage frequent interruptions while meeting strict deadlines. This position requires the ability to perform duties using both typical office equipment such as computers, cell phones, and printers as well as the ability to communicate and perform tasks in a construction/workshop environment.

Required Travel: This position requires travel to our branch locations, up to 2 weeks a month.
